Real on Five Minute Friday

It’s Five Minute Friday again!

The time where we stop, drop, and write.

I grow to love this time more with each passing week.

Hey! Why don’t you join me? Just plop down and let those creative juices flow for 5 mins flat.

Then you can link up with Lisa-Jo over at The Gypsy Mama.

Don’t have a blog? I’d still love to read what you lay down. Shoot me an email or leave your Real in the comments.

I wrote about Real once before….it may have even been a FMF.

Today, I’m gonna try to put a new spin on it, just because I love FMF so much.

Life would really be much easier if we would all just show our Real.

Do you realize how much energy and effort it takes to conceal it?

We spend way to much money on the outfit that everyone will like, or the makeup that covers all of our Real, or the house/car that will be bigger, better, newer.

I think that it is quite possibly an insult to God when we hide our Real.

Real is how He made us.

No frills, no bells and whistles.

And while someone else’s real may look better than yours….oh well! You just have to be confident and proud of who God made you to be and stop wasting your precious time fretting over the Jones’.

I’m really liking this topic….I think Lisa-Jo should make a new requirement for FMF….Everyone has to post a picture of their real selves on Friday’s. Who’s with me?

Thank you Lord for the way that you made the real me…..dents, spots, wrinkles and all!

Lovin’ your real today,

Tracey

  1. Tracey,
Reading your today's FMF sounded like a conversation in my head. I am becoming the REAL me, and I like her alot.
Beautiful. I'll be back. I'm your newest follower.
    Peace and good,

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by and for the follow. It's hard to learn to like yourself. My tiny amount of wisdom on this subject has come with age and lots of prayer. :)

  2. I love your real, Tracey! And you're right, it takes far too much effort to conceal your true self. It's exhausting to pretend to be perfect -- when we all *know* none of us can be perfect! Sending you a virtual Sonic drink today, my friend. :)

  4. It's taken me a long time to allow the "real me" to shine. I am getting used to this person that I tried to hide for so long. So thankful I stopped by today.
