The day I said "why not" and started this thing called blogging, I never dreamed that it would bring me to the doorsteps websites of so many wonderful women, with so many wonderful words to share. I'd never even heard of "community". There's just something about that word..."community".  It makes me think of lives and hearts weaved together by God. I  never dreamed of forming relationships with women I've never met.  I mean, I HAVE community....aka....friends I can see on a regular basis. But here I am...wading through cyber space watching women....wait....not just watching....coming alongside women that are changing the world for God....one blog post at a time. I've been rethinking my "About Me" today. I realize that it tells the basics about me, my family, my ambitions, etc. However, I find myself asking, who am I really. Who is the "bottom line me"? Here's what I came up with. I'm a sinner saved by Grace. A woman whose sins have been forgiven and forgotten. Cast as far as the East is from the West. I'm a born again, Holy Spirit filled, child of God, daughter of the King of Kings. I am clay in His hands. I am His vessel. His servant. I am a woman who believes in Jesus Christ, and believes that he was born of a virgin, died on a cross to pay the penalty for my sins, rose on the third day, is alive and seated at the right hand of the father. The End. "For God so loved the world that He gave Hid only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

As women...wives....mothers....sometimes we think we have to make everything okay. We think we have to be strong when no one else can be. We place before ourselves an unrealistic set of standards and we judge, sometimes other women, but mostly ourselves, by them. Grace for the Good Girl Author, Emily P. Freeman , tells us to take off our masks. I tell you (more like I tell myself) stop trying to live up to what you think everyone else wants you to be. The ONLY thing that matters is what GOD, your Heavenly Father, wants you to be. Let's follow the example set by Jason Crabb in the words of this song. For the past few days I’ve been reading and re-reading Proverbs 31:10-31 , the story of The Virtuous Wife. I want to learn from this woman. The woman that was pleasing in God’s sight. The woman whose story, God chose to tell. I learned in my study of these verses, that they are an acrostic poem. Each verse begins with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet, encouraging it’s memorization. We do not know who this woman was, but it is very clear what she was. 10Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. (Thank You Lord for these words of affirmation) 11The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. 12She does him good and not evil.
