The girls are gone. It’s just us. We sorta stop and stare at each other for a minute with these confused looks on our faces. The same question running through our head. “What’s that sound?” (Silence) and “What do we do now?” It’s not often that we find ourselves together alone. So of course we do what all couples would do that find themselves in this situation. We go to our local home improvement store. What says romance more than a trip to Lowes. My hubby is a worker bee, and he loves to get me involved in whatever he’s working on at the time. I really don’t mind, because after 15 years of marriage I’ve learned that this is just how his brain is wired. So I go with it. We stroll thorough the aisles of tools and hardware, electrical and plumbing. Romance at it’s best. (Hee Hee) I love watching him as he ponders over the drill bits. He’s got so much going on in that head of his. I don’t know how he keeps it all straight. He really is our r...

It can be your first thought or you can chew on it.  Either way I want to hear from you. Glad you stopped by! Hope to see you again next Thursday! Time to think..... Opportunity

Image
This weekend we have an opportunity. An opportunity to lift up the women in our lives. Sunday is the day marked on our calendars for the celebration of our Mothers. I applaud the Mothers that are reading here. Mothers everywhere. In whatever season of motherhood that you may find yourself. I want to give encouragement to women everywhere who long to, but are yet to be mothers. I want to let you know that even if you never usher a child into this world that shares your DNA, there is someone out there that needs a mother figure in their life. Sweet sister, you just might be that woman. To the Mothers who didn’t experience the pains of birthing, but have their own sense of birth pains through adoption. For the Mothers who carried that precious child for those days, weeks, or months and had to give him or her back to the Father.  For the grieving Mothers. The widowed Mothers. The single Mothers.  For the Mothers missing their own sweet Mamas. Longing for...

Last Post of 2011

On this last day of 2011 I’ve found myself challenged by Tsh Oxeneider 's 20 Questions. What a wonderful way to reflect on God’s work in my life throughout this past year. These questions were really tough for me. Age has not been kind to my memory, so these questions really knocked out the cobwebs and made me dig deep in the vault that is my mind. I really stirred up some dust in there. 20 Questions for a New Year’s Eve Reflection 1. What was the single best thing that happened this past year? Our summer was one of the best, if not THE best summers that we have ever experienced. We took lots of short trips and spent tons of time at the beach with my in-laws, and spent lots of time with great friends that we love dearly. We truly enjoyed every minute of the Summer of 2011. 2. What was the single most challenging thing that happened? Without a doubt it was when Jeremy (sweet hubby) had to go back out of town for work. It was a HUGE adjustment after having him hom...

30 Days to Being Thankful (Day 8)

Image
Today I am dedicating this entire post to my dear, sweet, hardworking husband. Today I thank God for this man. This man that stepped into my path almost 14 years ago and walked it with me. The man that continued to walk beside me as God (little did we know) was directing the path. The path that led us both to Him. 212. for his love. 213. for his support. 214. for his faithfulness 215. for his laughter. 216. for his love for our girls. 217. for his willingness to provide for our family. 218. for his love for the Lord. 219. for his talents. 220. for his assurance. Now he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the LORD has cursed." Genesis 5:29 Thankful, more than words can say, Tracey <><
